How Does a Zip Screen Work?
A zip screen is made of technical fabric whose edges lock into the rail with a zipper-like profile, keeping the fabric taut so it does not flap in the wind. The vertical screen moves up and down by motor or belt and stops at any height. Outdoor zip screen applications block the sun while still allowing a view, and can also be made with transparent (soft glass) fabric options.
Fabric and Hardware
UV-resistant, water-repellent technical fabrics come in screen (perforated), blackout and transparent PVC options. On motorised (automatic) models a wind sensor retracts the screen automatically above a set speed to protect the system. Cassette (box) and rail colours are chosen from the RAL chart, and fabric colours from a wide palette.
