Winter garden systems combine glass and thermally insulated aluminium to turn your balcony, terrace or garden into an enclosed, four-season living area. At Ekim Yapı Sistemleri we have manufactured and installed winter gardens in İstanbul with our own team since 2005. Protected from the sun in summer and from cold and rain in winter, these spaces serve as a living room, breakfast nook, work area or café extension.

Openable Winter Garden Roof

While a fixed glass winter garden gives maximum insulation, our openable winter garden roof solutions let you open the ceiling when the weather is pleasant. In retractable winter garden systems the motorised roof slides back or folds and turns the space into open air within seconds; rain and wind sensors are optional. This way you get the comfort of an enclosed room and the airiness of an open terrace in a single system.

Insulation and Materials

On our İstanbul winter garden projects we use thermally insulated (polyamide-break) aluminium profiles and double glazing, which lowers winter heating costs and prevents condensation. Tempered or laminated safety glass, waterproofing and concealed drainage are standard on every installation. We develop slim-profile solutions that maximise the glass surface according to the span and the view.

Where It Is Used

Our winter garden systems are installed in detached-house gardens, duplex rooftops, villa terraces, restaurant and café seating areas, and poolside spaces. For businesses a winter garden is a practical way to turn open space into year-round revenue; for homes it adds valuable extra living area and square metres. Models and Options

We design the winter garden with a mono-pitch, dual-pitch or curved roof form to suit your needs. The side elevations are closed with sliding glass, guillotine glass or folding glass systems, so ventilation and view control are entirely yours. Profile and glass colours are chosen from the RAL chart, and insect screens, shading blinds, heating and LED lighting are integrated.

For retractable winter gardens the motorised roof is fitted with rain and wind sensors — full sealing when closed and maximum openness when open. We build turnkey solutions for every size, and during the survey we assess the orientation, view and intended use to recommend the best system.
