Glass and Fabric Wind Breakers

Glass wind-breaker panels form a transparent barrier without blocking the view and can be fixed, sliding or folding. Fabric (zip-screen type) wind breakers run taut within guide rails, do not flap in the wind and retract when desired. We combine both solutions along pergola, winter garden and terrace edges as needed.

Durability and Use

Panels are engineered for high wind loads; glass options use tempered safety glass, and fabric options use UV-resistant, water-repellent technical fabric. The system also helps with sun and insect control and improves the efficiency of outdoor heaters. Motorised (automatic) and manual options are available.

System Types and Features

We offer wind breakers in three main types. Glass wind breakers form a transparent barrier with fixed, sliding or folding glass panels and preserve the view. Fabric (zip-screen type) wind breakers are curtains that run taut in guide rails and, thanks to their zippered edge, do not flap in the wind. Aluminium louvre systems both block wind and allow shade adjustment.

Glass options use tempered safety glass, while fabric options use UV-resistant, water-repellent technical fabric. On motorised (automatic) models a wind sensor retracts the screen automatically above a set speed to protect the system; manual models use a belt or crank mechanism.

A wind breaker blocks not only wind but also dust, driving rain and insects, improves the efficiency of outdoor heaters and makes cleaning easier by reducing dust. Colour and fabric options are chosen to match the architecture.
